Teams, Seeds Revealed for College Beach Champs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 18, 2019) – USA Volleyball has announced the teams and seeding for the upcoming USAV Collegiate Beach Championships, set to take place on May 8-11 in Hermosa Beach, Calif.

Top Women’s Seeds and Teams

The top-seeded women’s team for this year’s championship is comprised of Claire Coppola and Kristen Nuss from Louisiana State University. They were the winners of the women’s event in 2018 and are expected to be strong contenders once again.

The second-seeded women’s team consists of Torrey Van Winden and Emily Sonny from Cal Poly. In the previous edition of the championship, they finished in third place, showcasing their skills and potential for this year’s competition.

A total of 45 women’s teams have registered for the event, with the top 24 teams advancing directly to the main draw. The remaining teams will have to compete in a qualification bracket for a chance to secure their spot in the main draw.
