USA Volleyball recently held its first virtual board meeting, discussing the impact of COVID-19 on the organization, its staff, athletes, and members. During this meeting, three new directors were elected, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the table. Let’s take a closer look at the newly elected directors and their contributions.

Tri Bourne – Male Beach Athlete Director

Tri Bourne, a seasoned athlete in the world of beach volleyball, has been elected as the Male Beach Athlete Director. With an impressive track record, including three gold medals and numerous podium finishes, Bourne brings a wealth of experience and passion to the USA Volleyball Board of Directors. As a member of the International Athletics Assembly Administrative Council and the founder of the SANDCAST podcast, Bourne is deeply invested in the growth and development of the sport. He is excited to have the opportunity to give back to an organization that has played a significant role in his life.

Steve Bishop – Beach Development Director

Steve Bishop, the incumbent Beach Development Director, has been reelected for another term. As the executive director and president of the Florida Region of USA Volleyball, Bishop has been instrumental in promoting all aspects of the game, from beach to indoor and sitting volleyball. His dedication to the sport and his vision for its future have earned him the trust and support of the beach community. With a focus on growth and development, Bishop aims to create new opportunities for high school and collegiate beach volleyball, as well as beach ParaVolley.

Donna Donaghy – Regional Volleyball Association Director

Donna Donaghy, also elected for a second term, serves as the Regional Volleyball Association Director. With over 30 years of experience in the Northern California Region, Donaghy has been a driving force in promoting and organizing volleyball events. She is committed to supporting the sport during these challenging times and looks forward to working with everyone involved. Donaghy’s extensive knowledge and contributions make her a valuable asset to the USA Volleyball Board of Directors.
