The 2016 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championship concluded today at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, with national champions crowned in the 15s category. Five divisions – Open, American, National, USA, and Patriot – showcased exciting matches, with each division producing a deserving winner. Arizona Storm 15 Thunder Clinches 15 Open Title

In the 15 Open division, Arizona Storm 15 Thunder (AZ) demonstrated their prowess, defeating Coast 15-1 Luis (SC) with a score of 25-19, 25-22. The victory was particularly sweet for Amber Stivrins, who was named the division MVP. She expressed her joy, stating, “It feels amazing. I feel like all of our hard work has paid off because we worked really hard. Winning the MVP award means everything to me.”

The Woodlands’ Revolution 15-1 National Claims 15 American Title

In the 15 American division, The Woodlands’ Revolution 15-1 National (LS) emerged victorious over Five Starz 15-1 (NC), with a score of 25-11, 25-20. Alex Glover, the division MVP, expressed her satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “We just won first place. It wasn’t a surprise. We were expecting to go in and we knew what we had to do. Winning the MVP award was really special. It wasn’t just me; it was everyone on the team who helped me get that award.”

Tstreet 15-Curtis Triumphs in the 15 National Division

Tstreet 15-Curtis (SC) secured victory in the 15 National division, defeating Crossfire M 15-1 (NO) with a score of 25-18, 25-22. Lauren Sinclair, the division MVP, highlighted the team’s unity, saying, “Playing together as a team, working together, everyone’s so close, and winning the gold, which was our goal. We’ve grown so close together. We’re best friends outside of volleyball.”

SA Magic 15 Elite Emerges as 15 USA Champions

SA Magic 15 Elite (LS) triumphed in the 15 USA division, defeating Mintonette Sports m.52 with a score of 25-23, 25-13. Caroline Meuth, the division MVP, expressed her pride in the team’s collective effort, stating, “All of us contribute to making this team great, and that’s how a team wins…everyone being great.”

AZ EVJ 15N2 Claims Victory in the 15 Patriot Division

In a hard-fought battle, AZ EVJ 15N2 (AZ) emerged as the champions in the 15 Patriot division, defeating Empowered 15 A1 Elite (HO) in a thrilling three-set match with a score of 27-25, 23-25, 15-7.
