Beach Update: U.S. Duos Shine at BPT Futures

Futures Results

U.S. pairs showcased their skills and left their mark at the BPT Futures tournaments worldwide. Carly Kan and Lexy Denaburg bagged the gold medal in Seoul, Korea, defeating their opponents in a spectacular final match. Iya Lindahl and Xolani Hodel also had a remarkable performance, securing the silver medal in AL-Alamein, Egypt. Kim Hildreth and Teegan Van Gunst contributed to the U.S. medal haul with a silver medal in Brno, Czech Republic.

At the Futures event in Baden, Germany, Logan Webber and Hagen Smith narrowly missed the podium, placing fourth. Exciting times lie ahead as U.S. pairs Jessica Mcguire/Logan Beitler and Katie Oldja/Jessica Hoeffner gear up to compete in BPT Futures Corigliano, Italy.

Klineman Returns

Fans of beach volleyball will be thrilled to know that Alix Klineman, the Olympic gold medalist, is making a comeback after giving birth to a baby boy. She will partner with Hailey Harward, a two-time NCAA beach champion at USC. They have received a wild card spot for the Beach World Championship in Mexico and are also set to compete in Elite16 Paris. With their skills and experience, Klineman and Harward are sure to make a splash on the court.

Current World Rankings

As the race to secure Olympic qualification heats up, U.S. pairs Kelly Cheng/Sara Hughes and Taryn Kloth/Kristen Nuss are leading the charge. They are currently ranked number two and number three in the world, respectively. Sarah Sponcil/Terese Cannon and Betsi Flint/Julia Scoles also hold impressive rankings.

On the men’s side, Miles Partain/Andy Benesh are tied for number three in the world, showcasing the talent of U.S. teams.

AVP Chicago Preview

The highly anticipated AVP Chicago Gold Series is just around the corner. Top U.S. teams, including Kloth/Nuss, Hughes/Cheng, and Partain/Benesh, will battle it out for glory. Defending their recent victories, Flint/Scoles and Taylor Sander/Taylor Crabb are determined to leave their mark in Chicago. The competition promises to be intense and exciting.
