Beach Teams Earn Qualification for U21 World Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 17, 2019) – We are thrilled to announce that six exceptional beach volleyball teams have secured their spots to compete at the highly anticipated FIVB Under 21 World Championships, to be held on June 18-23 in Udonthani, Thailand. These talented athletes have showcased their skills and determination during a two-day trials event held on April 14-15 in Chula Vista, Calif.

Women’s Qualifying Teams

  1. Bella Bauman/Teagan DeFalco – Both Bauman and DeFalco have qualified for the World Championships. Bauman, who excels in beach volleyball, represents Grand Canyon University, while DeFalco showcases her indoor volleyball prowess for the school.

  2. Mima Mirkovic/Caroline Shafer – Mirkovic, a versatile player in both indoor and beach volleyball, represents the University of California. Shafer, on the other hand, is a valued member of Cal’s beach volleyball team and has participated in USAV’s High Performance Program.
