Welcome to our Beach Notebook, where we bring you the latest updates on beach volleyball tournaments from around the world. This week, we have three exciting events happening on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour. Let’s dive in and explore the action!

Rubavu (Rwanda) Two-Star Tournament – July 13-18

We kick off the week with the Rubavu two-star tournament in Rwanda. Nine American duos will be competing in this event, showcasing their skills on the sandy courts. Keep an eye on the men’s top-seeded team, Theo Brunner and Chaim Schalk, as well as the third-seeded duo, Miles Evans and Bill Kolinske. Additionally, two more men’s pairs, Billy Allen and Andy Benesh, and Chase Budinger and Troy Field, will start their campaign in the qualification round.

In the women’s draw, we have two strong American pairs making their mark. Emily Day and Sara Hughes are the top-seeded team, while Traci Callahan and Emily Stockman are seeded third. Corinne Quiggle and Alex Wheeler, two-time FIVB medalists, will begin their journey in the qualification round as the top-seeded team. They will be joined by Aurora Davis and Sarah Schermerhorn, who are seeded second. The competition is fierce, and we can’t wait to see these amazing athletes in action!

Leuven (Belgium) One-Star Tournament – July 15-18

Next up, we move to Leuven in Belgium for the one-star tournament. This event will feature three pairs eager to make an impact. Melissa Fuchs and Delaney Knudsen, who are participating in their second FIVB tournament together, will kick off their campaign in the qualification round. Crissy Jones and Susannah Muno will also be playing in the qualifier, marking their first tournament as a team and Muno’s first FIVB World Tour event. Joining them in the main draw will be Travis Mewhirter and Adam Roberts, ready to showcase their skills on the Belgian sands.

Sofia (Bulgaria) One-Star Tournament – July 15-18

Our final stop for this week is Sofia, Bulgaria, where the one-star tournament will be held. Michael Boag and Tim Brewster will represent the United States in the main draw, showcasing their talent in this highly competitive event. This is their second FIVB World Tour stop this year, following their participation in a one-star tournament in Sofia last month.
